Carnivals Without Animals, A Victory for Animal Ethics in Terrassa!

We are delighted to announce excellent news that represents a significant step towards a more compassionate celebration of Carnival in our beloved city.

This year, in collaboration with the Confraria Mascarada, organization organizing the Carnival of Terrassa, an agreement has been reached that the Rua Mortuòria on Ash Wednesday (February 14) will not feature the traditional horse that pulls the coffin .

This exemplary initiative is the result of the fruitful collaboration between the Vegan Association of Catalonia and the Mascarada Brotherhood, reflecting the commitment of the entities in promoting respect for animal rights.

It's a small big victory, and represents a step forward in creating a fun and joyful Carnival for everyone, without compromising animal welfare.

The celebration of Carnestoltes without the participation of animals is a clear example of how collaboration between entities can lead to positive and significant changes.
